How it works
Pick NFL games at a price that reads as a chance. Free to play, pregame only, and your skill builds over time.
Eightball Picks is a free prediction game for NFL games. You pick outcomes, like "Bears win?", at a price. The price is a chance: a price of 40 means a 40% chance.
How markets are organized
Season, week, game, market, side. Open a branch to go down a level. Every market on a game settles from one final score.
Bears @ Packers
One game. Every market on it settles from the same confirmed final score.
The short version
- Pick a side. Every game has a winner market, three spread lines and three total lines.
- Take a price or set your own. Take the best price on offer now, or post your price and wait for someone to take it.
- Picks lock at kickoff. There are no live picks. Prices nobody took cancel when the game starts.
- Results land after the final score. We confirm the score from two sources, then open a short review window, then pay out.
- A right pick pays 100 per share. A share bought at 40 pays 100 if you are right and nothing if you are wrong.
What you play with
You play with PICK. PICK has no cash value and can't be bought, sold or cashed out. Your balance carries over from week to week, and winnings stack on it.
The week
The week runs Tuesday to Tuesday, so it holds Thursday, Sunday and Monday night games. Every Tuesday you get a recap of your week and a new weekly board. Balances do not reset.
What you keep
- XP counts how much you play. It gives levels and badges. It never buys better prices.
- Reputation (REP) measures how well you forecast, across seasons. One season is mostly luck. REP shows who is consistently good.
